Anne Rara (she/they) is a Program Coordinator for the Safety and Wellbeing team at Prevention Institute. She graduated from Rice University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences and a minor in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities. Currently, Anne is a 2nd-year MSPH student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Prior to joining Prevention Institute, Anne was an intern for Texas Appleseed’s Criminal Justice and Research teams, where she worked on a variety of projects related to cash bail in Harris County, correctional facility records screening in the Texas college admissions process, and the 2023 Texas Legislative Session. Alongside her experience in research and policy, Anne brings a deep commitment to the principles of transformative and restorative justice and is excited to work alongside Prevention Institute to promote healthy, safe, and equitable communities where everyone has access to the resources and support they need in order to thrive.
