The Jacksonville Community Council Inc. developed this country’s first community-based quality-of-life indicators assessment in 1985. The assessment, published annually as the Quality of Life Progress Report, uses indicators to measure and monitor factors that encompass the social determinants of health in Jacksonville and surrounding communities in northeast Florida.
