LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the Collaboration Math training, participants will:
- Gain familiarity with the Collaboration Math matrix and be able to use the tool to identify a range of potential partners that can play a role in mental health programs;
- Be able to identify various resources, assets, concepts, and outcomes that each potential program partner can bring to an interdisciplinary collaboration;
- Understand the benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration and its role in to promoting sustainability of mental health programs.

Training Participation and Activities
To make this as simple as possible, we have outlined a number of steps to participate in the training process. The steps build on each other and are designed to help you get as much as possible out of the training process. While we encourage you to take part in as many as possible, please feel free to participate in the steps that make the most sense for you.
Step 1: Pre-training background materials
The following materials highlight Collaboration Math, a tool that will be featured in the third training.

Collaboration Math describes the application of this Prevention Institute tool at the University of California Berkeley's Traffic Safety Center, illustrating how multidisciplinary groups can use this tool to increase effective collaboration.

This training is tailored specifically for Prevention / Early Intervention grantees. If you have questions following the reading or related to program effectiveness and sustainability in general, please e-mail prevent 63.134.213.124.

Step 6: Send us questions about and results of the post-training activity
If you have questions that emerged while completing the post-training activity, please send them to us. We will try to address the major issues that emerged at the beginning of the next call or incorporate answers into subsequent trainings. We are also interested in seeing what you came up with. If you feel like sharing, send us the completed worksheet. Questions and/or completed worksheets can be sent to prevent 63.134.213.124.
