Capitol Hill Briefing to Eliminate Health Disparities

As part of Prevention Institute's continued commitment to reduce and eliminate health disparities, Executive Director, Larry Cohen, will be one of five speakers, with additional comments from Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis, to discuss the role of health care reform in the emerging social movement to reduce health disparities.   

The Institute for Alternative Futures (IAF), in conjunction with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, will host Reducing Health Disparities Faster: Addressing Social Determinants of Health to build on the IAF Disparity Reducing Advances (DRA) Project, for which Prevention Institute recently authored two reports outlining promising approaches and next steps for eliminating disparities in health:
