An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Repeal
What do last night’s election results mean for prevention?

In today’s Huffington Post, Prevention Institute makes a call for our newest elected officials to stand up for prevention--what has been called “one of the most significant cost controls in the [health reform] legislation”--and highlights early successes from federally funded efforts, including John Boehner’s home state of Ohio. Reducing injury, illness and misery isn't a partisan issue. We need to make sure that Congress listens.

Supporting prevention funding is vital to keeping health reform in place. As one of the first elements of health reform to be implemented, prevention funding will be one of the earliest challenged. We must all join together in support, and bring the message that prevention works.
