Barbara Krimgold, MA, is the Founding President of the Institute for Alternative Futures’ (IAF’s) Culture of Health Equity Network initiative. She currently serves as IAF’s Senior Health Program Director and director of the Kaiser Permanente Burch Minority Leadership Development Program. The KP Burch program supports junior minority scholars to sustain their connections with policy experts to inform policy development. Prior to joining IAF, Ms. Krimgold was director of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s postdoctoral Kellogg Health Scholars Program at the Center for Advancing Health (CFAH). These programs have trained over one hundred ethnically and racially diverse health researchers for careers and leadership positions in U.S. universities, foundations, executive and legislative branches of government, think tanks and health advocacy organizations and focus their efforts on health equity and reducing health disparities.
