Katie Sellers

Senior Advisor for Strategy and Innovation at HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau

Katie Sellers, DrPH, CPH is the Senior Advisor for Strategy and Innovation at HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Prior to joining HRSA in 2021, Dr. Sellers was the Executive Vice President at the de Beaumont Foundation, where she led the foundation’s research and evaluation work, as well as many of the programmatic initiatives. She is most proud of her contributions to revising the 10 Essential Public Health Services, developing a suite of policies and programs designed to advance racial healing and justice, and documenting the needs of governmental public health workers through the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS). Prior to her time at de Beaumont, Katie served as the Senior Vice President for Science and Strategy at the March of Dimes and the Chief Science and Strategy Officer at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials. In both of those roles, Katie led research and evaluation efforts, launched major strategic initiatives, and sought to advance diversity, equity and inclusion. Katie has authored or co-authored over 50 publications, mostly on governmental public health workforce and infrastructure.
