Roxy supports the Health Equity team on projects related to advancing health equity and understanding the determinants of what shapes community environments to be safe and healthy places. She also supports Los Angeles-based projects related to healthy eating and active living. Prior to this role, Roxy worked for Prevention Institute as an Administrative Assistant, supported the Mental Health team, provided general support to ensure efficient operation of the office, and helped with event logistics. Prior to this, Roxy worked diligently as an undergrad and an active member of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated. During her undergrad career, she assisted the Delta Omicron Chapter in fundraising $1,417, becoming the top national undergraduate chapter for St. Jude that also contributed to the organization’s national pool of over $50,000 for cancer research during the 2014-2015 school year. She also earned the Service Award which is given to the sister who is highly involved in community service. Roxy earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Social Welfare with a minor in Chicano Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
