On Thursday, June 16th, senior Administration officials will join together to make an important announcement regarding prevention and health promotion. Given the timing and makeup of the event, it is likely—though not certain—that this announcement will be the release of the much-awaited National Prevention Strategy (NPS). The National Prevention Strategy is an extremely important, first-of-its-kind document that lays out a vision for quality prevention and highlights the federal administration’s commitment to moving that vision forward. The NPS will emphasize the interdisciplinary lens that is critical for effective prevention—that every sector has a role to play in promoting health. It is important that prevention advocates stand together in support of this landmark document. Prevention Institute will be attending the event; we encourage you to consider attending on behalf of your organization.
To attend, please RSVP to this email address (externalaffairs@hhs.gov) with your name, title, organization, email and phone number.
