Tell Your Legislators: Community Prevention Works!
California Congress members are back in their home districts for August recess (August 6th - September 7th), so today is the perfect time to let your legislators know about the great community prevention work going on in their districts!
Sharing your prevention success stories - big or small - helps legislators better understand how community prevention improves the health and well-being of residents in their districts. Congress is also interested in knowing the impact that the federally funded Community Transformation Grants and Communities Putting Prevention to Work initiatives are having in their districts.
Join Prevention Institute’s Community Prevention Works campaign and let your legislators know about your community prevention successes.
We will compile success stories from our campaign and share them with California US Senators Feinstein and Boxer in September. If you decide to mail a letter to your legislator, please send a copy to us. If you’re not able to participate in the campaign, you can still send us your success stories to share with the Senators.
Together, we can help Congress understand the true impact of community prevention!
