Make Your Voice Heard to Advance Key Prevention Legislation in CA
Today, advocates from across the state are converging in Sacramento for ENACT Day. This annual event, co-sponsored by Strategic Alliance and many of our partners (see list of sponsoring organizations below) brings community health voices from the far reaches of the state to the Capitol, so they can support prevention initiatives that make California healthier, safer and more equitable.
Community members from the Central Valley, San Diego, Los Angeles, the far North and the Bay Area are convening in Sacramento to learn more about prevention legislation (see below), and meet with legislators to share their community’s efforts to improve health. You can learn more about ENACT Day from reading our blog post by CA Convergence's Lisa Hershey and Prevention Institute's Linda Shak.
While ENACT Day advocates are working hard to advance prevention in Sacramento, you don’t need to travel to our State Capitol to make your voices heard! We hope you’ll participate in Virtual ENACT Day -- join in by sending a message directly to your legislators supporting critical legislation in California.
You can also get involved by connecting with us on Facebook and Twitter, sharing the word on social media, and by forwarding this email to your friends and colleagues. Thank you for advancing California’s health and wellbeing.
