200 diverse youth and advocates are speaking up for health equity in Sacramento today: give their advocacy a boost by visiting our online action center now

This morning, Californians from across the state are converging in Sacramento for ENACT Day 2017 to speak up for healthier, safer, and more equitable communities.  Amplify their advocacy efforts in the Capitol by making your voice heard through our online action center.  Your call, fax or email will make a difference.

Our ENACT Day Online Advocacy Center has all the tools you need to be an outstanding e-advocate, from factsheets to letters of support you can send directly to your legislators. In years past, your calls, emails, faxes, and virtual support have energized the youth and advocates, inspired legislators to act, and helped carry vital legislation over the finish line. Please take a moment to join in the action.

This year’s ENACTers are sharing their vision for healthy, safe, and sustainable communities and learning about bills that will:

  • streamline access to free school meals for students enrolled in Medi-Cal (SB 138)
  • address hunger on college campuses by expanding access to CalFresh benefits (AB 214);
  • restructure the California Transportation Commission to provide a greater voice for communities most affected by transportation-related environmental injustices and underinvestment in their transportation infrastructure (AB 179); and
  • set in motion a statewide parks bond to fund parks and recreational facilities in communities that lack fair access to well-maintained parks and open space (AB 18 and SB 5).
