Join Prevention Institute for the 2022 Hanna Institute Summit April 5-6

We’re proud to join the Hanna Institute as a nonprofit partner for their 2022 virtual summit: Radical Resolve, April 5-6, 7:45 AM-4 PM PT. And, we are especially excited to learn from keynote speakers Resmaa Menakem, Healer, Trauma Specialist, and New York Times Best-Selling Author of My Grandmother's Hands; and Ibram X. Kendi, Antiracist Activist and #1 New York Times Best-Selling Author of How To Be An Antiracist.

The Summit is an immersive, multi-day, fully virtual conference focused on learning and sharing new and proven approaches to trauma-informed care. This year’s virtual summit will focus on community violence and offer opportunities for deep learning, evolution, and healing within our collective communities.

The Hanna Institute invites educators, community members and advocates, organizational leaders, government agencies, and clinical partners to participate in interactive discussions and exercises focused on healing-centered practices and models of resiliency.

About Hanna Institute: Hanna is committed to addressing—and healing—those traumas for youth, their families, and entire communities. Their services cover the care continuum: in their High School, they help youth build resiliency and grow through special needs-based instruction; their Mental Health Hub (coming Summer 2022) provides one-on-one clinical care, tools, resources, and learning opportunities to help people heal from the hurt—with residential treatment for youth in need of housing; and the Hanna Institute develops innovative methodologies and trauma-informed practices to inform their own work on campus as well as guide the work of their partners across the street, the region, and the country. Connecting it all: a dedicated Hanna team made up of counselors, teachers, scholars, and leaders.

Hanna is working to address broad institutional failings through cutting-edge interventions and leadership. Because when we heal a community’s trauma, we achieve a healthier future for all.
