Expanded federal policy partnerships to work more closely with racial justice, social justice, and civil rights advocacy organizations.

We recognize that how we show up as advocates is as important as the specific advocacy priorities we identify, and a core component of our advocacy work emphasizes strengthening and expanding our policy partnerships. We are proud of the opportunities to learn from, amplify, and contribute a public health voice on a range of policy coalitions that are championed by outstanding racial justice, social justice, and civil rights advocacy organizations. We participate in several policy coalitions including the Community Safety Working Group, led by Civil Rights Corps; the INVEST IN US Coalition, led by the Community Justice Action Fund; and the Children Thrive Action Network, led by the Center for Law and Social Policy. NOTE: Prevention Institute relies only on unrestricted funds to support our limited grassroots and direct lobbying efforts. Non-lobbying support to expand our partnerships and networks was provided by The Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
