Immigration Justice

We stand for immigration policies rooted in health, safety, dignity, and family unity.

Immigration Justice

January–March 2026 Advocacy Highlights

We joined partners to support immigration policies that protect access to essential services and reduce harms to children, families, and communities. This included opposing increased funding for ICE and Border Patrol, and enforcement actions tied to harmful immigration practices. We supported protections included in the Protecting Sensitive Locations Act to help safeguard children, families, providers, and access to essential community services from harmful immigration enforcement actions. We opposed the HUD Mixed-Status Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would restrict access to federally subsidized housing for mixed-status families, as well as proposed restrictions on work authorization for asylum applicants.

2025 Advocacy Highlights

In defense of family unity and expanded access to care, we endorsed the American Dream and Promise Act of 2025 and the Health Equity and Access under the Law for Immigrant Families Act of 2025, supporting pathways to citizenship and expanded healthcare and benefit access. We joined national sign-on letters and administrative advocacy efforts opposing public charge expansion and efforts to withhold or condition federal funding based on immigration enforcement practices. We also supported administrative relief pathways and regulatory protections that reduce fear and barriers to care for mixed-status families, while opposing enforcement-first approaches that destabilize families and undermine community health.
