Amanda (she/her) is a Program Assistant working with the Safety and Wellbeing team. She completed her BS in Healthcare Management and Policy from Georgetown University. During her studies, Amanda developed research skills in internship projects focused on understanding effective opioid response in rural Michigan and current attitudes about health equity in health systems and industry leadership. She spent two years as a part-time research assistant with Georgetown University's Community Health Division, co-leading a health and nutrition education initiative for low-income parents of children with developmental disabilities. Additionally, Amanda has experience planning and managing a PreK-8th grade health enrichment program for a nonprofit based in Baltimore City. She also served as a volunteer EMT throughout her time in college. Amanda is interested in the intersection of health equity with evidence-based programming and public health policy.
